Knute Oskar Munson (1900–1967), professionally signed as K.O. Munson, was a respected mid-twentieth-century American pin-up and commercial illustrator known for his classic calendar art and glamour paintings. Born in Norway and later raised in the United States, Munson studied under prominent art instructors including Andrew Loomis before building a successful career with Brown & Bigelow, one of America’s leading calendar publishers. His distinctive style combined soft realism, vibrant colour, and wholesome vitality, capturing the spirit of 1940s and 1950s pin-up illustration. This gallery features vintage K.O.
