George Petty was one of the most influential American pin-up artists of the twentieth century, best known for creating the iconic “Petty Girl” illustrations that appeared in Esquire magazine during the 1930s and 1940s. His distinctive style, featuring elegant, long-limbed figures set against clean white backgrounds, helped define the golden age of American glamour art and influenced generations of commercial illustrators.
